Answer Here
Accept a call a colleague is transferring to YOU, on this softphone.
⛔IT IS NO LONGER A PICKUP BUTTON, AND THAT IS THE ISSUE (#1768). Frederick, 2026-09-19: "No, we don't take live calls. So there's no reason for a call to be broadcasted. All calls are callback tickets. However, the only time that bar should show up is on your page when someone's trying to transfer you a call." So this accepts a DIRECTED transfer -- handoff. transfer_call_to's browser branch, taken for a colleague with no American number to ring -- and refuses everything else.
⛔THE OLD GUARD'S PURPOSE SURVIVES; ITS TEST COULD NOT. It refused anything that was not "inbound and still ringing", to stop redirect_live_call moving a call belonging to somebody else's conversation. Right instinct, and that risk is unchanged. But a caller mid-conversation with Rooster is in-progress, not 'ringing' -- ON_HOLD_STATUS is literally the string 'ringing', which every answered inbound call starts at -- so keeping the old test would have refused every directed transfer there is. The replacement is strictly stronger: inbound, still live, AND directed at THIS principal with nobody having taken it.
⛔THE CLAIM HAPPENS BEFORE THE REDIRECT. The old order redirected first and updated the row afterwards, so two people pressing Answer in the same second both moved the same caller. The conditional UPDATE is now the referee, and a failed redirect gives the claim back rather than leaving a call nobody can ever take.
