Urban and rural population split from UN DESA World Urbanization Prospects 2025: id 87 (PopDoU - population by degree of urbanization) and id 91 (UPopNat - population by national urban definition). Covers 1950 through 2050.

Query parameters

locationstring required

Country or area as ISO3 (USA), ISO2 (US), or M49 numeric (840).

start_yearinteger nullable

Start year of the requested range (YYYY). Defaults to current_year - 5.

end_yearinteger nullable

End year of the requested range (YYYY). Defaults to current_year.

Response

Urban and rural population rows by year.
