Fishing effort by region

Fishing effort report for a specific EEZ (Exclusive Economic Zone) or MPA (Marine Protected Area). Grouped by flag state, gear type, or vessel. Temporal resolution: MONTHLY, YEARLY, or ENTIRE. Useful for analyzing which countries fish in which waters. Max date range: 366 days.

Query parameters

region_idstring required

Region ID (e.g. 8371 for USA EEZ, 5690 for Japan EEZ).

region_datasetstring

Region type: public-eez-areas, public-mpa-all.

group_bystring

Group by: FLAG, GEARTYPE, VESSEL_ID, FLAGANDGEARTYPE, MMSI.

temporal_resolutionstring

Resolution: MONTHLY, YEARLY, ENTIRE.

start_datestring

Start date (YYYY-MM-DD). Default: 365 days ago.

end_datestring

End date (YYYY-MM-DD). Default: today.
