Latest single observation

Single-shot convenience endpoint: the latest observation at a given station for a given product. Default product is water_level. Equivalent to calling /station/{id}/water-level?date=latest with fewer ceremonial arguments. Returns observation=null when the station does not report the requested product. Attribution: NOAA CO-OPS Tides and Currents (api.tidesandcurrents.noaa.gov).

Query parameters

stationstring required

7-digit CO-OPS station identifier (required).

productstring

CO-OPS product: water_level, air_pressure, air_temperature, water_temperature, wind, humidity, visibility, conductivity, salinity.

datumstring

Datum for water-level queries. Ignored for products that do not accept a datum.

unitsstring

metric or english.

Response

Latest observation row wrapped in a small station context.
