Count earthquakes

Count earthquakes matching criteria without returning full data. Useful for checking query size before fetching.

get/api/v1/earthquakes/count

Query parameters

starttimestring

Start time (YYYY-MM-DD or ISO 8601).

endtimestring

End time (YYYY-MM-DD or ISO 8601).

minmagnitudenumber

Minimum earthquake magnitude.

maxmagnitudenumber

Maximum earthquake magnitude.

Response

Total number of USGS earthquakes matching the query criteria.
