social-graph

Who Is Active

Real-time social signal: "people you know are active nearby." Returns counts + preview names (no location leakage — only proximity hint). Used by Home.js hero and activity cards for "alive" feel. Privacy: never shows exact location, only that they're active. Radius: only counts people active in activities within radius_km of (lat, lng). If no location provided, falls back to recent activity window only (no geo filter).

2026-05-22 — Optional auth. Guests get an AGGREGATE-ONLY response: { count, guest: true, can_interact: false, label: 'people_nearby' } No names, no avatars, no user IDs, no activity IDs, no thread IDs. The Home feed presence interject uses this to render a "People nearby are using ActivitIA" teaser for unauthenticated visitors. Any deeper interaction (Say hi, open chat) is gated client-side via GuestActionGate.
