Update Lead

Edit a lead. stage is not editable here on purpose -- moving is POST /leads/{id}/move, which enforces the path rules and writes a stage_changed event.

source and originated_by_principal_id decide commission -- lead_originators marks every non-salesperson originator as a house account, so moving a lead between those buckets moves money. sales:write is what a salesperson must hold to work leads at all, so it cannot also be the permission that decides who gets paid for them. Editing anything else on the lead is unchanged.
