List distinct values for a person field

Person-grain twin of GET /observe/companies/fields/{key}/values, served by the same shared resolver (so the console and the agent's get_field_values tool cannot diverge). Pickable here: name, a durable-key column (idl__<type>), or a string/string_array promoted event-metadata (emf__) column - i.e. exactly the fields whose descriptor carries distinctValuesUrl. There are no person traits, so a trait key is a 400. Pass ?search= for the picker's case-insensitive substring typeahead.

searchstring

Case-insensitive substring filter over the distinct values. LIKE metacharacters are matched literally. Omitted/blank returns the unfiltered most-common values. Max 100 chars.
