Create Submission

Create a new community-contribution submission.

Propose a motor or battery for inclusion in the public catalog.

Body fields: component_type (motor|battery), name, manufacturer, data_json (type-specific spec map), source_url, notes (optional).

Motor data_json.R is the PHASE-TO-PHASE winding resistance in ohms — the datasheet value, what a meter reads across two motor leads. This matches the component spec_json.R convention, so an approved submission's data_json copies verbatim into a catalog spec (2026-07-16 unification; data_json was previously per-phase). Curation note: add_motor takes terminal milliohms, so a motortoolbox import is R x 1000.

Returns the new submission resource (201) with status="submitted".

A component.submitted webhook event fires for every successful create.
