Call Out

Call out sick for a day, from the app. Your own only.

Frederick, 2026-09-23: "calling out in the app is never a no-show. 12+ hours' notice is always free. 2 FREE sick call-outs per 90 days (within 12h); after that, a within-12h call-out is a strike. No doctor's note."

The day's shifts are released and cover is asked for (cover.report_out, the same path Rooster's own report_out_sick takes); for a contractor each released shift is priced by the rules and the answer comes back here: what it cost and how many free sick call-outs are left. The asks are sent by the executive engine's own tick (cover.resume_unattempted_asks), as every recorded ask is.
