Leave a chatroom.
Presence is settled here (Redis): whether the room is now empty decides what happens next, so it cannot wait. Everything with a database behind it — the minutes billed, the attendance stamp, the game roster — is queued (app.core.deferred) and lands a moment later. When a class lets out, thirty of these arrive inside a minute; on 2026-09-08 each one waited its turn on the pod for ten seconds, and the student with it.
