Declared ABOVE /{room_name}: that route is a catch-all and would swallow this path, answering 404 for a room called "chacha-host" instead.

Two separate answers, because they fail differently. available is the allowlist: false for every school except the ones Nancy has named, and it is why the feature is invisible everywhere else. may_ask is this person's standing at that school — hosting is a staff decision, and a student who called this endpoint by hand still gets false.
