Solar Return (太陽返照(西洋))
The Solar Return — Western astrology’s ANNUAL chart, cast for the exact moment the transiting tropical Sun returns to its natal position each birthday; it describes the twelve months to the next. The tropical cousin of the Vedic Tajika Varshaphala. From birth data + a year it returns the SR chart: the Ascendant (with its ruler) that sets the year’s tone, the Placidus houses, the ten planets placed in those houses (with retrograde flags), the house the SR Sun falls in (where the year’s focus lands), the SR Moon, the planets sitting on the angles (the year’s headlines), and the chart ruler that carries the year. Cast at the birthplace by default, or pass a residence for a RELOCATED solar return. Tropical; the return instant is exact and the Placidus houses are gold-locked to a published chart. A mainstream Western predictive method — symbolic, not a validated predictor.
