Sabian Symbols (薩比恩符號)

The Sabian Symbols — a symbolic image for every one of the 360 degrees of the zodiac, received clairvoyantly by Elsie Wheeler with astrologer Marc Edmund Jones in San Diego in 1925 and later restructured by Dane Rudhyar (An Astrological Mandala, 1973). Every planet and angle in a chart sits at exactly one tropical degree, and that degree’s Sabian Symbol — a vivid picture such as ‘A clear mountain stream’ or ‘Glass blowers shape beautiful vases with their controlled breathing’ — becomes an image for meditation on that placement. From birth data it returns the Sun, Moon, the planets, the North Node and (with a birth time and place) the Ascendant and Midheaven, each mapped to its Sabian degree by the floor(degree)+1 rule (the ‘Nth degree’ symbol covers (N−1)°00′ to (N−1)°59′), plus Rudhyar’s mandala structure (hemicycle / 90° act / 15° scene / five-fold sequence) for each. Tropical; the 360 image titles are the Jones canon, gold-locked. A symbolic/meditative system — not a validated predictor.
