French Republican Calendar (法國共和曆)

THE FRENCH REPUBLICAN CALENDAR — the Revolution's own reckoning: twelve 30-day months named for the weather and the works of the land (Vendémiaire the vintage, Brumaire the mists, Thermidor the heat), each of three ten-day décades (Primidi … Décadi), the year closed by the jours complémentaires and OPENED BY THE SKY — 1 Vendémiaire is the Paris-Observatory day of the TRUE autumnal equinox, the law of the 4 Frimaire An II decree, computed here with the catalogue's own Sun. ANCHORED FOURTEEN-FOR-FOURTEEN at load against the complete published table of the calendar's lived year-beginnings (22 Sep 1792 … 23 Sep 1805, the tricky An XII's 24 September included), with the historical sextiles {3,7,11} FALLING OUT of the equinox rule rather than a table, and the dates every history reader knows pinned: 18 Brumaire An VIII = 9 November 1799, 9 Thermidor An II = 27 July 1794. Beyond the 1806 abolition, dates serve under the calendar's own law CONTINUED, with Romme's never-enacted arithmetic reform disclosed as the alternative convention. The 360 rural day-names of the almanac ARE SERVED (v6.73.0): French-witness orthography primary, the 13 cells where the English witness spells differently carried as attributed variants, English glosses alongside — two tables diffed cell-for-cell. Western becomes 39. Pure compute, no LLM.
