Update Rule

An edit, naming the version its author was looking at.

base_version is required of every client rather than defaulted or optional. An optional field makes the protection opt-in, and the client most likely to overwrite a change it never saw is the one authoring from natural language on someone's behalf. Omitting it is a 422 from FastAPI's own validation, which is a refusal rather than a silent success.

warnings non-empty means the save succeeded and activation will not: the document is well formed and structurally inert. Returning it here is what lets an author keep a draft they have not finished.
