Jaimini (Chara Daśā) (賈米尼占星)

Jaimini astrology — the distinct classical school of Vedic astrology attributed to the sage Jaimini, running parallel to mainstream Parashari. Its signatures: the CHARA KARAKAS (variable significators — the planets ranked by their degree within a sign, so the Atmakāraka/soul planet is unique to every chart); the CHARA DAŚĀ (a SIGN-based daśā, not a planet daśā — life unfolds sign by sign, each period’s length counted from the sign to its lord); the Arudha Lagna (the ‘image’ ascendant — how the world perceives you); and the Karakāṁśa (the Atmakāraka’s Navāṁśa sign, read as a second lagna for the soul’s path). Sidereal Lahiri. Uses the K.N. Rao Chara Daśā (odd/even direction, count-to-lord−1, own-sign → 12 years), gold-locked; the 7-karaka (default) and 8-karaka schemes are both available. Chara Daśā sub-periods and full Jaimini rāja-yoga judgment are a later layer; symbolic, not a validated predictor.
