Transit Aspect Calculator

Where the sky is on a chosen date against where it was at birth: the ten transiting bodies with longitude, sign, degree, speed and motion, and every aspect they make to the natal planets and angles, each with its orb, whether it is applying or separating, and the natal longitude it was measured against. The orb convention is published IN the answer — conjunction, opposition, trine and square at 3 degrees, sextile at 2 — so the orb behind every contact is stated. Geometry only; what a transit means is not computed here.

Query parameters

datestring required
Example:1977-10-19

Birth date, YYYY-MM-DD, between 1800 and 2200.

timestring
Example:23:58

Birth time, HH:MM on a 24-hour clock, local at the birthplace. Omit it if unknown — the ascendant and the midheaven are then left out of the natal points entirely rather than cast for an arbitrary noon.

placestring required
Example:Indianapolis, Indiana, United States

Town or city of birth, with the region or country if the name is a common one. Not required if lat and lon are given.

latstring
Example:39.76838

Latitude in decimal degrees, −90 to 90. Must be given together with lon.

lonstring
Example:-86.15804

Longitude in decimal degrees, −180 to 180. Must be given together with lat.

tzstring
Example:-5

IANA zone name, or a numeric UTC offset in hours, for the birth moment.

onstring required
Example:2026-09-21

The date to read the sky for, YYYY-MM-DD, between 1700 and 2200. Required, with no default: send today's date for "what is transiting my chart now". Reading the sky for the birth date would return every planet conjunct its own natal position — the chart compared with itself — and defaulting to today would make this URL answer differently tomorrow.

atstring
Example:12:00

Time of day for the transit, HH:MM, UTC — not a local time and not the birth time. Omit it for 00:00 UTC. It matters most for the Moon, which moves about 13.2 degrees a day.
