Vimshottari Dasha Calculator
The Vimshottari timeline from a birth date, time and place: all nine mahadashas covering the 120-year cycle, each with the exact instant it opens and closes — as UTC to the second and as local times that carry their own date and UTC offset — the balance of the first period at birth in years, months and days, and the nine antardashas inside whichever mahadasha the date you ask about falls in. A birth time is required: the whole table hangs off how far the Moon had travelled into its nakshatra, and the Moon covers about 13.2 degrees a day against a nakshatra 13 degrees 20 minutes wide.

Query parameters
Birth date, YYYY-MM-DD, between 1800 and 2200.
Birth time, HH:MM on a 24-hour clock, local at the birthplace. Required, and refused rather than defaulted if missing — an unknown birth time is an unknown nakshatra, which is a different first lord and a timeline moved by years.
Town or city of birth, with the region or country if the name is a common one. Not required if lat and lon are given.
Latitude in decimal degrees, −90 to 90. Must be given together with lon.
Longitude in decimal degrees, −180 to 180. Must be given together with lat.
IANA zone name, or a numeric UTC offset in hours. Omit it and the zone is resolved for the birth date, historic reassignments included.
The date to mark the active mahadasha and antardasha for, YYYY-MM-DD. Send today's date for "which period am I in now". Omit it and the period running AT birth is the one marked — never the wall clock, because a permalink that answers differently tomorrow is not a permalink.
