People and organizations recognized in the news by the GDELT Global Entity Graph (Google NL API), ranked by how many distinct articles mention them in the window. Each carries its type, Google Knowledge Graph MID (when available), max salience, last seen, and sample article URLs. Optional name= returns one entity's recent articles. period=1h reads the rolling window; 6h/24h merge daily shards.
