News cards from the GDELT files Sugra already stores: title, source, time, link, tone, themes, organizations, and quantities named in the article. The served window is at most 24 hours; a longer timespan is marked window_capped. English file by default. lang accepts the 15 source languages already stored.

Query parameters

qstring required

Free-text search query. Only uppercase OR starts a new group.

max_recordsinteger

Maximum records to return.

timespanstring

Time window: 15min, 1h, 6h or 24h (15m, 1d and 1day also work). Any other value is read as 24h and marked window_capped.

sortstring

Sort: datedesc, dateasc, tonedesc, toneasc.

countrystring

Country named in the article (ISO code).

langstring

Source language of the articles. Omit it, or pass en, eng or english, for English. The other stored languages, by two- or three-letter code: pt por, es spa, de deu, fr fra, it ita, ru rus, zh zho, ja jpn, ko kor, ar ara, hi hin, fa fas, tr tur, id ind, vi vie. Any other code returns no articles, with coverage language_not_stored.
