Social Status
Changed onAlways 200 — never gate this endpoint itself. The frontend reads gated to decide whether to show the feature at all, so a 403 here would read as a broken app rather than "not available yet". region (resolved from the optional tz IANA-timezone query param) lets the UI show the region state before a connect -- it is resolved unconditionally (independent of gated/the try block below) since _resolve_region never raises and a region read shouldn't depend on the flag check succeeding.
Each connections[network] also carries contacts_progress (H3, 2026-09-11) -- {crawled, total, complete, mode}, built off the SAME get_status session row (see _contacts_progress), None for a network with no session at all. This is the one honest status line the Connections row needs ("N of T connections imported · continuing hourly") without a second round trip.
