Validation happens before the first search is dispatched, so malformed or oversized batches cannot consume search credits. Each valid subquery then uses the existing search path, preserving its trial/quota, mesh, proof, and fail-closed behavior. The batch envelope is deliberately thin: consumers receive the exact per-query response shape they already know.
