East Asian Civil Eras (民國 · 주체 · 단기) (東亞紀年)
THE EAST ASIAN CIVIL ERAS — the region's three modern AD-offset year-counts, served together with their identities PROVEN: MINGUO (民國), the Republic of China era on every Taiwanese document since 1 January 1912 (2026 = 民國115年, written 115/09/12 on forms); JUCHE (주체), North Korea's count from Kim Il-sung's 1912 birth — adopted 1997, and QUIETLY DROPPED IN OCTOBER 2024 when state media reverted to the Gregorian year alone (the 13 October 2024 party-paper edition the visible pivot), served as the dated history it now is; and DANGI (단기/檀紀), the Korean era from Dangun's LEGENDARY 2333 BC founding of Gojoseon — the Republic of Korea's official reckoning 1948–1961, still alive on calendars and at Gaecheonjeol. THE IDENTITIES ARE LAWS: Minguo and Juche both count from 1912, so Taiwan and North Korea share a year-count in every year — asserted at load across the full range — and Dangi exceeds both by exactly 4,244. Anchors pinned: 1912 = Minguo 1 = Juche 1; 1948 = Dangi 4281; 1961 = Dangi 4294 (the last official year); 2026 = 115/115/4359. Years before an era's epoch are refused by name; the foundation legend is served as legend. Pure compute, no LLM.
