JMIC advisory transit counts (Hormuz and Bab el-Mandeb)
Transit counts for the Strait of Hormuz and Bab el-Mandeb from the Joint Maritime Information Center advisory note, published every two to three days and distributed through UKMTO. The window is the one the document prints (48 or 72 hours in the measured series), never assumed. The Hormuz figure is US-facilitated transits only: a lower bound, not a measurement of all traffic. These counts are not differenceable against the UKMTO weekly Hormuz series or the AIS-derived chokepoint activity series. update_number and information_cutoff identify the advisory; retrieved_at is only the fetch stamp. meta.stale is true when that fetch is already older than one publication cycle.
