Receive Messenger consent update event

Event is sent when the person opts in or opts out of Marketing Messages. The event field indicates the type: SUBSCRIBE for opt-in, UNSUBSCRIBE for opt-out. For this to work you need to configure subscriptions. Refer to Subscriptions Management for additional info. <br/> Collecting subscription tokens still works on the Messenger platform. However, marketing messages on Messenger are no longer available for new users. For existing users, this feature will be deprecated on January 12, 2026. After this date, marketing messages will no longer be supported.

Response

Your server returns this code if it accepts the callback.

Changes

Webhooks have no change history: a webhook is keyed by its event name rather than a path and method, so no recorded change can name it.
