When the delegation is a CHECK REQUEST (1.46.0), send a check object ({ source, period, looked_for, result, reason?, note?, evidenceId?, signalId? }): the delivery and exactly one signal check are written in the same transaction, and the check's own validation applies (400 CHECK_SCOPE_REQUIRED / CHECK_REASON_REQUIRED).
