Authenticated internal smoke tests use the same unbilled lane as owners.
Call the API directly with the internal credential. The public edge /api/ask proxy only targets /internal/agent-desk/ask, which still sanitizes identifiers. A separate route keeps a caller's header, user agent or identifier from opting public traffic out of billing. Every test starts a fresh thread and shares the playground's bounded daily test allowance.
