Start a verified email change (dashboard session only)

Session only and cross-origin protected. Checks the requested address against this account's current address and against every other account, rate-limits per account (3 an hour), then emails a single-use, 30-minute confirmation link to the NEW inbox. Nothing on the account changes yet. NOT available to API keys (403 dashboard_only): a key that could redirect the account's mail would be an identity, not a program.
