The .twbx a recipient opens in Tableau Desktop: the workbook, a CSV snapshot of the data packaged inside it, and a readme written for someone who has never seen the Mammoth original. One file, no refresh step and no gateway — a .twbx carries its own data. Synchronous: the work is XML generation plus one table read.
