Use this only after Coverage Cat reports a policy on file for the homeowners or umbrella direct-follow-up flow. Authenticate with Authorization: Bearer <intake_access_token> from the latest consumer-prefill or follow-up response. Send request_type plus reason, and send requested_effective_date for policy_cancellation. Omit confirm_request or send false to preview the consequences first. Send confirm_request: true only after the shopper approves opening the request. Opening a request does not itself confirm cancellation, a refund amount, or final issue resolution.
