Display-colour metrics for any hex value (the colour_metrics tool).

Returns:

  • LRV estimate from luminance (CIE Y x 100) and band -- not a measured LRV
  • Relative luminance and CIELAB L*, a*, b*, chroma, hue angle (D65)
  • Bradford corresponding colours under CIE A (2856K) and F11 (4000K)
  • not_derivable: what a hex cannot support (thermal / solar performance, finish effects, measured LRV), with reasons
  • Pigment: always unknown -- not identifiable from a hex

Derived from the display colour, not measured; methodology in the response.
