Circle of Petosiris (佩托西里斯之圓)

THE SPHERE OF DEMOCRITUS & THE CIRCLE OF PETOSIRIS — antiquity's most-copied prognostic device, from the Greek magical papyri through Byzantium to the medieval Sphere of Apuleius: compute the isopsephy of a name, add the lunar day, take the remainder, and read the device's zones. SERVED AS A HISTORICAL RECONSTRUCTION of a 2,000-year-old artifact — NOT_MEDICAL_ADVICE is the FIRST payload field (enforced by test): the 'life' and 'death' zones are what an ancient papyrus said, reported as history, meaning nothing about anyone's health. TWO WITNESSES PER TABLE, MANUSCRIPTS NAMED: the Sphere's 18 life-numbers (PGM XII.351–364) corroborated verbatim between independent reconstructions and the Betz-translation lineage; BOTH Circle forms — the hollow mod-29 and full mod-30 of MS Grec 2419 (BnF, 15th c.) via Bouché-Leclercq's L'astrologie grecque (1899) — agreeing cell-for-cell across lineages, their zone partitions proven at load to tile their ranges exactly, and the manuscripts' own three-day divergence between forms (10, 29, 30) PINNED, never harmonized. Milesian isopsephy served with the witness example (Πολυφανης = 1339) asserted at load; the lunar day computable astronomically from a date or supplied directly; the manuscripts' procedural variance (one survey counts nine recipes) named, the canonical simple form served. Greek becomes four systems. Pure compute, no LLM.
