V1 Get Foundational Lineage

Foundational lineage for a paper's NICHE (TOOL-07, paper-anchored).

Pipeline (consensus-then-lift; no LLM, no PageRank):

  1. Resolve the anchor's stored embedding (no Gemini call — cheaper than field-orientation).
  2. Niche = pgvector k-NN neighbourhood (the scope knob) = "the field".
  3. One GROUP BY over the niche's out-edges → within-niche in-degree per ancestor.
  4. Demote universal landmarks by the R1 specificity ratio; split the niche-specific foundations into roots (above a relative consensus floor) vs field_level.
  5. Rank niche_roots by LIFT (enrichment) so the niche gems lead — not raw consensus, which surfaces broad pillars and buries the gems.

Returns the foundational work SPECIFIC to this paper's niche — surfacing canonical anchors that embedding similarity misses, while universally-cited landmark papers (e.g. Attention Is All You Need) collapse into discipline.

Query parameters

anchor_paper_idstring required

arXiv ID to anchor on, e.g. '2504.04704'.

scope'narrow' | 'field' | 'broad'

Niche breadth: narrow≈100 nearest papers, field≈200, broad≈400.

generality_ceilingboolean

Demote universally-cited landmark papers (low niche-enrichment) into a collapsed 'discipline' tier.

limitinteger

Max papers in each of the niche_roots and field_level tiers.
