For the watchdog and uptime checks: database reachable, disk not full, migrations applied. 503 when degraded, so a plain HTTP check can alert. The public answer is the status alone; the individual checks (disk space, pending migrations) are internal and only shown to the watchdog on the droplet or to an admin.
