One company's fundamentals against its peer group
Eight headline metrics for one company beside the median of its peer group: revenue, revenue growth, gross margin, operating margin, net margin, return on equity, price/earnings and the one-year price return. One row is one metric, carrying the company's own value, the peer_median, the company's percentile inside the peer distribution, and n, the number of peers that carried a comparable value.
PERIODS. Every fundamental is the FULL FISCAL YEAR reported on ONE annual filing (10-K, 20-F or 40-F), named by accession and dated by period_end. Nothing is trailing twelve months and nothing is annualised from a quarter: a 10-Q figure is year-to-date rather than the quarter and Q4 is not a reported fact, so neither is used here. meta.fiscal_span gives the earliest and latest fiscal period end in the peer group; filers' year ends differ by months and a peer more than meta.rules.period_gap_refuse_days from the subject is excluded entirely.
CURRENCY. Values are in the filer's OWN reporting currency and nothing is converted. A ratio (every margin, return on equity) is currency-neutral and is compared across filers; a level (revenue) is not, so a peer reporting in another currency is refused from that distribution and counted in meta.refusals.
REFUSALS. A value of null always carries a refusal code and a refusal_text. It means the figure could not be computed like for like, never that it is zero. n under meta.rules.min_peers_for_stats publishes no median, quartile or percentile at all.
