Video Emotion API

Get Valence Arousal

Changed on

Get emotion intensities of a video based on video_id.

valence and arousal are the averages over all faces in all frames (or over one face's frames when face_id is given); intensity is the length of that averaged (valence, arousal) vector. circumplex_version names the coordinate table the numbers come from.

Path parameters

video_idstring required

The unique video ID of the video whose emotion intensity is to be fetched

Query parameters

face_idinteger nullable

Restrict the result to this face: the average is taken over the frames the face appears in. Omit it (or pass 0) to average over every face. Responds 404 if the video has no such face or the face appears in no frame.

Response

Successful Response

valencenumber required
arousalnumber required
intensitynumber required
circumplex_versionstring

Name of the valence/arousal coordinate table the numbers were computed with: each emotion label sits at a fixed (valence, arousal) point and a face's values are the score-weighted sum of those points. It reflects the table in use now, not the one in use when the video was analysed, and it changes only when the table does.
