Schedulable People

People this user could plausibly put in a meeting: who do they KNOW?

The scheduler used to search /users/discover, which is the language-partner DISCOVERY index — filtered to public profiles and matching preferences. A colleague who never set up a learner profile is not in it, so Nancy's 2026-08-28 walkthrough hit: "My natural instinct is to type in the person I want to meet with. Unless I've friended them through FluenTea, they do not show up. Confusing."

Discovering a language partner and scheduling with a colleague are different questions and deserve different sources. This one is relationship-based, which is what every calendar does — Google autocompletes from your contacts and your organisation's directory, not from a social graph. Three sources, unioned:

* people at the same school (any role)
* people they have actually been in a call with
* accepted friends

Ranked by which of those they came from — a colleague you met yesterday is a better guess than someone you shared one room with in March — then by name. There is no "everyone else" tier on purpose: a scheduler that offers strangers is the discovery index again.

The school wall applies, because this returns people.
