Criminal record certificate (RJ) — Detran-RJ (Divisão de Identificação Civil)

Requests the criminal record certificate of Rio de Janeiro, or looks up a request already filed.

Source: Detran-RJ (Divisão de Identificação Civil), online criminal record certificate service, queried at the time of the request.

Returns: the verdict in PossuiAntecedentes (false: nothing on record; true: record found; null: could not be determined) and ConseguiuEmitirCertidaoNegativa, plus the certificate data the portal prints (holder, number or code, issue date, validity, full text), and the request protocol in Protocolo.

Execution: synchronous, up to about 3 minutes; generates a PDF.

Note:

  • Steps: solicitar (default) files the certificate request at the portal and requires emitir=true; consultar looks up a request already filed, by CPF and protocol, and changes nothing at the portal.
  • Code 5 when the portal refuses to accept the request.
  • Code 1 with JaEmitido true when the portal reports that a valid certificate already exists for this data: no new certificate is issued and the existing one is not returned.
