Upload Moment Media Endpoint

Upload one image or video for a Moment and get back its public URL.

The URL goes into media_urls on the eventual POST /api/moments body.

Supports:

  • Images: JPEG/PNG/WebP/HEIC — re-encoded to JPEG with smart compression (quality stepping 80→65→50→40→30 until ≤1MB output). EXIF stripped.
  • Videos: MP4/MOV/WebM — stored as-is (no transcode). 2MB hard cap applies.

Optional context routing: ?context_type=activity&context_id=<uuid> — stores under moments/activity/{id}/ so activity gallery queries work. ?context_type=place|entity — same pattern for venues/entities. Default (no context): moments/{user_id}/{uuid}.jpg

Privacy: 2MB hard cap, MIME whitelist, EXIF stripped from all images.
