Free — Google Keyword Planner, no DataForSEO. Returns configured: false with an explanation (never an error) until a developer token and Ads account are set, so callers can degrade cleanly.

This approximates the CONTESTED set; it does not report ranking positions. Use it to choose the few keywords worth an exact SERP check.
