USPTO Trademarks Search

Search US federal trademark applications and registrations at the USPTO (every live mark and every mark filed since 2016) by any words of the mark, the owner's name or the goods and services, narrowed by owner (the full name), status (live, dead, registered, pending), international_class (Nice class 1-45), owner_country, registration_number and the filing date (from_date/to_date). Each result carries the mark, its status and dates, classes, goods and services, filing basis, owners, attorney and whether an assignment was recorded. Served by Croma from its copy of the register (as_of says how current the data is).

Dataset endpoint: answers from the whole source in milliseconds and carries as_of.

Idempotency-Keystring

Optional client-chosen key for this request (any string up to 255 characters, e.g. a UUID). Every Croma operation is an idempotent lookup: repeating a request with the same body returns the same result and creates nothing, so retrying after a timeout or network failure is always safe. The key is echoed back in the Idempotency-Key response header so you can correlate a retry with its first attempt. Each attempt that reaches the API counts against the rate limit.

Optional words to find in the mark, the owner's name or the goods and services, e.g. coffee, nintendo. Every word must appear.

ownerstring

Optional owner's full name as the register records it, e.g. Nintendo of America Inc.. Case and punctuation do not matter, but the whole name must match; use query for part of a name.

status'' | 'live' | 'dead' | 'registered' | 'pending'

Optional status: live (a pending application or an active registration), dead (abandoned, cancelled or expired), registered (live and registered) or pending (live and not yet registered).

international_classstring

Optional international (Nice) class of the goods or services, 1 to 45, e.g. 9 (software, electronics), 25 (clothing), 35 (business services). A, B and 200 are the USPTO's classes for certification and collective membership marks.

owner_countrystring

Optional country of the owner's address as the register writes it, e.g. UNITED STATES, COLOMBIA, JAPAN, REPUBLIC OF KOREA.

registration_numberstring

Optional registration number the USPTO issued when the mark registered, e.g. 7726306.

from_datestring date

Optional date filter in yyyy-mm-dd format.

to_datestring date

Optional date filter in yyyy-mm-dd format.

pageinteger

1-based page number for paginated results.

per_pageinteger

Results per page (1-50).
