SAM.gov Contract Opportunities Search

Search every contract opportunity US federal agencies list as active on SAM.gov: solicitations, combined synopsis/solicitations, presolicitations, sources sought, special notices, justifications and award notices, about 75,000. Filter by words in the title, text, awardee or solicitation number, kind of notice, solicitation number, department, agency, NAICS code, product service code, set-aside, state of the place of performance or of the contracting office, posting date and response deadline; order by posting date, deadline or award amount. Pages of up to 50. Served by Croma (as_of says how current the data is), brought up to date daily.

Dataset endpoint: answers from the whole source in milliseconds and carries as_of.

Idempotency-Keystring

Optional client-chosen key for this request (any string up to 255 characters, e.g. a UUID). Every Croma operation is an idempotent lookup: repeating a request with the same body returns the same result and creates nothing, so retrying after a timeout or network failure is always safe. The key is echoed back in the Idempotency-Key response header so you can correlate a retry with its first attempt. Each attempt that reaches the API counts against the rate limit.

Optional kind of notice: solicitation, combined_synopsis_solicitation, presolicitation, sources_sought, special_notice, award_notice, justification, justification_and_approval, modification, sale_of_surplus_property or consolidate_bundle.

solicitation_numberstring

Optional solicitation number, exactly as the agency wrote it, e.g. W912HN25B0012. Case does not matter.

departmentstring

Optional department or independent agency, exactly as SAM.gov writes it, e.g. DEPT OF DEFENSE, VETERANS AFFAIRS, DEPARTMENT OF, GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION. Case does not matter.

sub_tierstring

Optional agency within the department, exactly as SAM.gov writes it, e.g. DEPT OF THE ARMY, DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY, FOREST SERVICE. Case does not matter.

naics_codestring

Optional NAICS code, two to six digits; a shorter code matches every code that starts with it, e.g. 23 for all of construction, 541512 for computer systems design.

classification_codestring

Optional product service code (PSC), one to four characters; a shorter code matches every code that starts with it, e.g. D for IT services, D302, 7030.

set_asidestring

Optional set-aside code as SAM.gov writes it, e.g. SBA (total small business), SBP (partial), SDVOSBC, WOSB, 8A, HZC, or NONE for notices that state no set-aside.

performance_statestring

Optional two-letter state of the place of performance, e.g. VA, TX.

office_statestring

Optional two-letter state of the contracting office, e.g. PA, OH.

from_datestring date

Optional date filter in yyyy-mm-dd format.

to_datestring date

Optional date filter in yyyy-mm-dd format.

deadline_fromstring date

Optional date filter in yyyy-mm-dd format.

deadline_tostring date

Optional date filter in yyyy-mm-dd format.

sort'recent' | 'deadline' | 'amount_desc'

Order of the results: recent (newest posting first, the default), deadline (soonest response deadline first, notices with no deadline last) or amount_desc (largest award first).

1-based page number for paginated results.
