Give vin, or make, model and year. complaints holds live NHTSA consumer complaint counts for the make, model and year: total, last 12 months, last complaint date, top 5 components, crash, fire, injury and death counts, and the public api.nhtsa.gov link. Complaints are not verified by NHTSA and a count is not a safety determination; null when NHTSA holds none or the live lookup fails or takes over 4 seconds.
