Query parameters

datestring

Date/datetime to analyse (ISO 8601 or YYYY-MM-DD). Defaults to now.

jdnumber double

Julian Day alternative to date. date takes priority.

latitudenumber

Observer latitude (decimal degrees). With longitude, this determines chart sect from the Sun's house: a moment with the Sun below the horizon is scored as a night chart, which selects the night triplicity rulers in the dignity component. Omit either coordinate, or send an out-of-range pair, and sect falls back to diurnal — score_detail.sect_basis reports which branch ran. Void-of-course is geocentric and unaffected by location.

longitudenumber

Observer longitude (decimal degrees). Required alongside latitude for sect: whether the Sun is above the horizon is a local fact and neither coordinate settles it alone.

Component breakdown behind the composite score: dignity_score, aspect_score, sect_score and voc_penalty on their 0-100 sub-scales, plus sect_basis — how sect was determined (sun_house, or one of the default_diurnal_* fallbacks).

sectstring nullable

Chart sect the score was computed under: diurnal (Sun above the horizon) or nocturnal. Sect selects which triplicity rulers the dignity component rewards, so this is part of the score's basis, not decoration. Always populated — when latitude/longitude were absent or unusable it names the diurnal fallback, and score_detail.sect_basis says so.
