Perpetual orders

Place a long or short perpetual order

Persist an independent order for the funding worker. Requires a scoped key and approved venue binding. No cross-venue atomicity or automatic hedge. Unknown fields are rejected. Key notional limits are checked at acceptance and before execution. Configure venue leverage and margin mode before trading. Reuse the Idempotency-Key for uncertain request results.

Persist one ID per intended mutation before sending. Reuse it with the same request for retries; different content returns 409.

venue'aster' | 'hl' | 'lighter' | 'lighter-mainnet' required

aster = Aster, hl = Hyperliquid, lighter = Robinhood Lighter, lighter-mainnet = canonical Lighter.

marketstring required

Exact venue market symbol, for example ETH or Hyperliquid xyz:NVDA.

side'long' | 'short' required

long buys, short sells. Existing positions net at the venue.

orderType'market' | 'limit' required
sizeBasenumber required

Base asset quantity. Worker rounds down to venue precision. Opening orders need at least $10 and venue minimums. USD risk at the larger of mark and protection/limit price cannot exceed key maxSizeUsd.

limitPricenumber

Required for limit orders; forbidden for market orders. Must match the venue tick.

timeInForce'ioc' | 'gtc' | 'post_only'

Market defaults to ioc and only accepts ioc. Limit defaults to gtc. post_only must not take liquidity.

slippageBpsinteger

Market orders only. Protection around the fresh execution mark, in basis points.

reduceOnlyboolean

Only reduce existing exposure. To reduce a long, use side short; to reduce a short, use side long.

expirySecondsinteger

Queue deadline and resting-order lifetime from acceptance. Default 60 for IOC, 3600 otherwise. Hyperliquid resting-order expiry requires the worker to cancel; it is not a venue-native GTT.

Command accepted; poll the order for execution.
