Search the article corpus by text query with optional tag, author, date, and status filters. PostgreSQL deployments use full-text ranking; local SQLite/test environments use a deterministic text fallback so results stay stable in CI.

Inclusive lower bound on article publish/create date (YYYY-MM-DD)

date_tostring date

Inclusive upper bound on article publish/create date (YYYY-MM-DD)

first_page_mode'first_result' | 'preview'

For approved new/relevance page 1: preview omits exact count/total_pages; first_result returns only query, sort_type and result ({id, headline, slug} or null). Other requests retain the full response.
