Api Law At Date
Get the latest recorded version of a law dated on or before date.
Resolves the date to a version server-side, so callers do not have to walk /commits looking for a SHA. The resolved sha and version_date come back with the text so the answer stays verifiable.
Resolution uses the source's publication date where known, or the version's explicit cutoff when no publication date is recorded. Selection does not establish entry into force: a published reform may still be within its vacatio legis. Check version_date and the source before citing; citation_url opens the selected version.
Read text_state and kind before quoting the body. consolidated identifies a dated consolidation. current is the source's latest text and cannot establish what the law said on a historical date. as_enacted means this revision holds the act as it was passed: if text_superseded is true, what you are reading is not the version in force on the date you asked for, warning says so in a sentence you can show a human, and amended_by names the norms that changed it.
