Economic Surprise Index history
The daily Economic Surprise Index series over a look-back window, oldest first. One point is one calendar day: the index over the trailing 90-day window ending that day (value) and the number of scored headline releases inside that window (n). A day with no release carries the trailing-window value forward, so consecutive points share most of their releases; value is null when the window holds fewer than 3 scored releases.
Read n alongside value: a window with a handful of releases is a small sample, so a swing on a thin window is not a macro turn.
As with the latest reading, only the derived aggregate is served. The per-event calendar rows behind it are not exposed through this API.
