Public, no auth. The plain-JSON fallback for the on-stage moment: same registration path as message/send with no to, but a flat body and a flat reply so the whole thing fits in one curl. Same hardening as the JSON-RPC hub - 4KB cap, per-IP budget that fails open, lib-side sanitization of name and skill.
